Emergency Training: Until Help Arrives, You are the Help In-Person

Life-threatening emergencies can happen fast. Emergency responders aren’t always nearby. You may be able to save a life by taking simple actions immediately. To help citizens prepare for an emergency,  Until Help Arrives training will be offered at the library on Thursday, August 1 from 5:30-8:30. This course is being offered by Greater Nashua Public Health Network, City of Nashua Division of Public Health & Community Services. Space is limited. Please register at www.nashuanh.gov/UHA.At the end of the free 3-hour course, participants will be able to:

  • Use simple and effective skills to save lives.

  • Communicate with 9-1-1 operators effectively.

  • Act to protect the injured from further harm.

  • Position the injured.

  • Stop life-threatening bleeding.

  • Provide emotional support.

Get a Summer Reading Raffle ticket for participating in adult library programs. Prizes include gift certificates to local restaurants.
