About the Pod: Due to recent events in the Karen Read case, we'll listen to the The Prosecutors podcast's examination of the incident and its aftermath: Read allegedly fled the scene after hitting her former boyfriend Boston police officer John O'Keefe with her car and leaving him to die in subzero temperatures back in January 2022. Read was tried twice for the incident, and on June 18, 2025, she was found not guilty on all three major charges: manslaughter, motor vehicle homicide, and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision causing death.
