Genealogy Club: “Genealogy 201" In-Person

Genealogist Gerry Savard will present on research techniques for when birth, marriage and death records cannot be found as well as a discussion of census records, border crossings and draft registration. Researching newspapers for marriage intentions, marriages, and deaths will also be covered.

 

Gerry was past president of the American-Canadian Genealogical Society and the New England Regional Genealogical Consortium. He has been doing genealogical research for over 30 years, has volunteered as a researcher at ACGS and has given many classes targeted towards using the various resources available to French-Canadian researchers in particular but also genealogy research in general.
