CANCELED: Origami Spring Centerpiece In-Person
In light of recent events, the Rodgers Library has cancelled ALL programming for the week of March 15, 2020. This announcement comes per a strong recommendation from the Hudson, NH, Fire Chief in an effort to maintain social distancing. Please call the library at 603-886-6030 with any questions you may have, or email us at askus@rodgerslibrary.org.
Students in grades 4-7 are invited to create flowers that will never wilt or need to be watered! Christie Valihura will teach us to make origami lilies and kirigami lupines for a perfect spring bouquet. All materials provided.
This is an intermediate level project.
Registration required.
Christie is an art teacher for the Second Nature Academy and The Painted Turtle Art Studio both in Nashua. As a teacher she finds she is constantly learning a new approach or technique to share with students and in turn her work is diverse and hard to pin down as any one style. She most recently began painting local pet portraits and doing freelance graphic design as a hobby. When she is not creating she is typically playing with her dog and cat or adventuring in the New Hampshire woods.
Students from Hills Garrison School may walk to the library. Please notify the office and classroom teacher.
