Rain Date: Bird Watching Walk in Benson Park
Naturalist Steve Hale from Open World Explorers will give a one hour presentation at the library on birds that can be found in our area. His presentation will include pictures as well as bird calls to help you identify the birds you see.
After the presentation there will be a break and then anyone interested can join him at Benson Park for a two hour bird walk. The walk is late in the day because many birds are most active towards dusk. He will be staying on the flatter paths around the ponds and meadows. The walk will end before sunset when there will still be light to drive home.
People are invited to come to either or both events. You may bring a bag dinner to eat in the library community room or the park between the events.
