Stop the Bleed

Stop the Bleed In-Person

Stop the bleed is a class developed by the American College of Surgeons, in cooperation with the Department of Defense. It was patterned  on evidence based techniques  developed during the Gulf Wars.  Students who complete the class will receive a Stop The Bleed Certificate.

Participants in the course will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control it with three quick techniques. The ACS Stop the Bleed training course will empower you to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

Stay Safe, Start the chain of survival, Stop the bleed, Save a life

Families encouraged to register and attend together.

Instructor John Watkins is certified by the American College of Surgeons and the DoD.  He is a certified ALERRT and CRASE instructor.  He is also FEMA Train the Trainer certified for Disaster Preparedness and the FEMA course Until Help Arrives.  Additionally he is an American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider and instructor and a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care teacher.
