The Last Phase of Life In-Person
RML welcomes author and hospice nurse, Ellie Atherton, for a meaningful conversation and Ellie's practical guidance on preparing for the final phase of life. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn from her many years of experience. Topics will include:
- Understanding Advance Directives, Portable DNR and POLST
- When to start planning
- Becoming a caregiver
- Recognizing the phases - life review, physical changes, last days, death bed visions and final hours
- Having eyes for the mystery and beauty during this sacred time of life
Ellie Atherton, RN, has been a hospice nurse since 2003. She frequently offers her presentations to reduce fears of death and dying, has presented a TEDx talk, and written three books on the subject. Her books will be available for purchase after the presentation at a reduced rate.
