Destination Lithuanian America

Destination Lithuanian America In-Person

This program is generously sponsored by the friends and family of Dan Zelonis (1946 - 2022)

Please join Augustinas Žemaitis and his wife, Aistė Žemaitienė, as they explore America looking for locations where native Lithuanians came and made their new homes. To date, they have visited approximately 800 Lithuanian-American churches, cemeteries, monuments, clubs in 30 states, and they will share the most interesting pictures and stories during this program .We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of their 2023 New England tour.

For those of you who participate in our Lithuanian food tasting program, this is another opportunity to learn more about Lithuania and the wonderful Lithuanian people who live in New England.

During their expeditions, Augustinas and Aistė are creating an online map of Lithuanian-American heritage sites (http://map.truelithuania.com) and an encyclopedia of Lithuanian heritage (http://global.truelithuania.com), both of which will be expanded in New England this year.

Thank you for registering for this program.
