Genealogy Club: Genealogy Adventures In-Person

There is a lot of genealogical information online, but some of the most interesting information about ancestors can only be obtained by visiting the places where they lived. During many of these field trips genealogists stumble across information that they didn’t expect. These stories make a family history more interesting.

Genealogy Adventures is a collection of stories that Tom Toohey collected over a 20 year period in Albany, New York, Dorset, Vermont, and Sligo and Tipperary, Ireland. He included many of these stories in a six volume history of his family. Participants in this lecture will have an opportunity to share some of their stories and he will be happy to answer questions about recording family stories and histories.
