How to Make–Or Break–a Habit In-Person

Our brains are amazing organs that allow us to function beautifully in the world. One of the tools our brains use effectively are habits–things we do over and over again until we don’t need to consciously think about what we are doing. This is a good thing–and a bad thing. We drive to work without having to think about it, but we also eat dessert without thinking about it, turn on the TV without thinking about it, and do many other things that don’t necessarily serve us well.

In this presentation, we will discuss how our brains work to create habits and how we can use this knowledge to make habits that serve us and to break habits that hold us back from being our best selves. Handouts will be provided.
